Sevilla (ES)
Located in south western Spain, Sevilla is the capital city of the autonomous Region of Andalucía. The population is 706,000 inhabitants, on a surface around 142.44 km2. Consumption of primary energy is about 1,400,000 tep / year. The Energy Agency of Sevilla City Council (Agencia de la Energía del Ayuntamiento de Sevilla) was created in the late 1990s and is well established to perform the following functions: implementing the necessary management tools; the Ordinance for Local Energy Management; and the Energy Plan of Sevilla. Sevilla would like to become a reference in terms of energy management, by developing energy efficiency, energy savings and the promotion of renewable energies.

Our LIEF
In the Forum all local actors work together and develop a Sustainable Energy Action Plan. Its idea is the cooperation of as many partners as possible in order to have various inputs which have an influence on the work of the Forum.

1. ALES Communication Plan (adopted and ongoing) containing a set of communications means such as newsletters, e-mails, website (www.agencia-energia-sevilla.com) in order to reach the different target groups. 2. Information campaign “Seville is Energy” with hundreds of people taking part: Campaign in urban publicity boards with the title “Save Energy”. Campaign with recommendations for the rational use of energy in hotels (Local Hotel Business Association) Technical seminar on the evaluation and application of the energy regulation in the framework of the Technical Building Code (School of Architecture) Seven roundtables organised with people coming from several public and private organisations speaking and debating about the future commitments of the Agency (several partners, most of them engaged in the LIEF; also individuals) Plan for the renewal of energy installations in citizenship associations and schools Publication of the “Guide of good practices for facing climate change” (University of Seville). Information stands about types of energy, responsible consumption, energy saving, and exhibition of domestic appliances fed by solar energy. 3. Application of SEAP: 7,932 houses in Seville have been provided with solar thermal energy corresponding to 22,296 m2 of solar panels. In addition, 9,030 houses have undergone energy audits (School of Architecture and School of Engineering) Planned 1. Local Strategy against climate change (adopted but still not working). Our Sustainable Energy Action Plan (SEAP)
It marks the main work of the Forum. Its aim is to bring sustainability into the city by formulating an action plan which was developed by all local actors which took part in the Forum.

Communication and dissemination material
This part describes the way how the communities promote the actions concerning BELIEF. It aims at informing a wider public in order to raise awareness on sustainable development among them.
Furthermore it is the most visible part of the project for the citizens and should not be underestimated.

Implementation
